I apologizes for this indirect way of contact. I prefer in person introductions, but I'm afraid I couldn't locate you otherwise.

I am an acquaintance of both, Amiboshi and Suboshi, of who you know very well.

[So the boys made a friend, hm? How cute.]

I am very familiar with them.

That is why I am coming to you. Since you have taken those boys under your care, it is only right that I speak to you of this matter.

Both of the boys have shown interest in moving in with me, but as their guardian, I would need your permission.

[And the situation just gets better.]

I am afraid that I will have to decline. We are allies in our world and strongest when we stick together. It would be beneficial for them both to stay near me.

This is something they haven't fully come to understand yet since both are still not fully in touch with what they are capable of.

[ Fon had a feeling you would say something to that nature.]

A bit of the dynamics of your world has been explained to me. I may not know all of it, but I do know enough to determine that within this domain, those obligations no longer apply. I am very aware of the Azure dragon, Seiryuu, which you all share a loyalty to being its warrior. However, in this sector of the universe, I am sure Seiryuu's influence is out of reach.

And though, I understand the comfort of having someone from one's own world being there for support. I believe the boys have each other to support them. They probably don't need me either.

As for knowing their capabilities, I beg to differ. These boys know their strengths and weaknesses. They have a strong sense of responsibility as well. And they know very well of their roles in their home world.

I know this is unsettling, and I don't mean to ruffle feathers. I simply want the boys to be happy, and so I can not back down either.

Your concern for their welfare is a great comfort to me. I'm pleased that they were able to make an acquaintance such as yourself in this world they are still growing used to. It will help them adjust during the time they must remain here.

However, I still must decline. It is for the very reason that Seiryuu is beyond this realm that we should stay together. When parted we are likely to become weakened. Besides, if certain members of our party should arrive, they will prefer to be with me so it would be rather trying for them to depart then to return again.

Fortunately, they are familiar enough with what they can do currently that they could manage. On the other hand, they are not yet aware of their full potential so I'm afraid they don't know everything just yet. Much like they don't know the full range of their responsibilities and roles in their own world.

Thank you again for asking but the answer will remain no. Amiboshi and Suboshi will remain with me during our time here. It is the best that could be done for everyone involved.

Yes, I can see the wisdom in your words. I acknowledge that even if you're not within Seiryuu's influence, it would be better to stick to those who are. I am not very aware of the powers that Seiryuu grants you in your guardianship, so becoming weakened is a possibility. So I can understand your caution.

And you do bring an excellent point about other members of your group arriving. From what I gained from my interactions with the boys, they are still very loyal to you and their priestess. I don't want to be the cause of desertion of something they are very much dedicated to.

Very well. If your answer is no, I have to respect that. Though this is only a formality. If any harm comes to the boys, if they come to me of their own accord...then I must go with what I feel is right.

I have no desire to harm you are to see you come to harm. I find you pleasant to speak with and it's a welcome change of pace to have someone who doesn't treat me differently based upon my appearance or title.

I do. If you wish, you may come and view things for yourself. Honestly, I feel that it would do both of the twins good to have people outside of myself caring for their needs. Besides, it would help to put your mind and heart at ease.

They've had a troubled past when it comes to soldiers, something a bit before my time. It is understandable that they would desire people to have a touch more caution around me but I can assure you that things are not quite what Amiboshi believes them to be.
